From Auburn in the foothills to the scenic north shore of Lake Tahoe there is sure to be something to do for everyone.

Placer County offers considerable diversity, from mountain fed streams in the foothills and the Auburn State Recreation area, to resorts and camping areas in the High Sierras, all offer an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities. The mother lode town of Auburn; has an historic “ Old Town” section with many shops, restaurants, and museums. You are sure to enjoy this town, with its rich history of the gold rush era.

If your journey in Placer County has you traveling to Lake Tahoe, there is biking along the Truckee River, which connects Truckee to Tahoe City. Where there are more paths in town and unique shops, restaurants, and accommodations.

There are abundant views of beautiful Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains. Tahoe offers beaches and parks to enjoy the summer sun.
